Waiting til morning breaks

I was in love before I even knew your name.
I would do it all again for a little more time with you.
.
I do not get the purpose of my life yet
Most of it has been spent alone
It is at these times hopeless that I ask myself
Is this a gift I’ve been shown
Solitude brings wisdom outside looking in from
The hours that most people sleep
A knowledge of life takes hold and thoughts that are real unfold
My soul can be seen because my eyes are deep
I cannot heal all this pain that I feel
These nights that I spend with only me
I slowly suffocate
waiting til morning breaks
it seems like an eternity
Crumbling into your hands
Filter me through your mind
Darkness envelops and you can’t see a thing
Pain is all you will find
